AI Response Viewer

Instead of just knowing whether you were mentioned, the response screen shows you the full answer an AI assistant gave, the brands it named and the sources it cited, so you can see how AI positions you.

Visibility scores tell you the what. The full answer tells you the how: the words, context and framing the assistant used when it talked about your category.

What You See

The screen is titled Response Details. A panel on the left holds the facts about the check:

  • Platform: the AI assistant that gave the answer
  • Date: when the answer was captured, so you know which day's check you are reading
  • Visibility: Mentioned or Not mentioned, for your brand in this answer
  • Mention Position: shown only when you were mentioned, as your place among the brands the answer names (#1 is named first)
  • Share of Voice: your share of the mentions in this answer, when it can be worked out
  • All Mentions: every brand the answer named, yours and your competitors'
  • Cited Sources: every page the answer cited, with its domain and address. A page the answer cited more than once shows how many times, and a page on your own site carries a tag

On the right is the prompt, then Model Response Text: the answer as the assistant gave it, with its own formatting and links.

Why It's Useful

Dashboards reduce reality to numbers. The full answer shows how an assistant framed a product, which competitors it placed next to yours, and which sources it leaned on. This lets you:

  • See whether an assistant positions you as premium, budget or niche
  • Spot when an assistant pairs you with competitors you would not choose
  • Find which sources drive your mentions, and which do not
  • Compare how the framing changes over time as your work lands

Cited Sources

Each cited source is a card with the domain, the full address and a link that opens the page. If the answer cited the same page more than once, the card shows how many times. If a citation is a page on your own site, it carries a tag, so you can see when an assistant relies on you.

When the Answer Text Is Missing

If the stored copy of an answer is not available, the screen says so instead of showing anything made up. The mentions, competitors and citations are read from the assistant's actual answer, so they still show.

Opening a Response

Start from the Prompts tab of Answer Engine Insights, open a prompt and pick one of its checks.
